It is confirmed that seven persons were killed in Buruku Local Government area of Benue state after suspected Fulani herdsmen invaded the area early hours of today.
The fulani herdsmen invaded some villages at about 1:30am today and started shooting randomly, making the villagers scurry for safety. This attack has brought the number of villages in Benue state affected by the fulani invaders to four, namely Agatu, Logo, Buruku and Tarka.
The State Police Public Relation Officer(PPRO), ASP Moses Yamu disclosed that the state commissioner of police, Dibal Yakadi was already leading mobile policemen to the scene to ensure law and order.
