In an unverified video footage, the sect's leader, Abubakar Shekau looks very remorseful as he asks his followers to surrender as he leaves the rest to Allah.
The director of Defence Information, Rabe Abubakar issued a statement in Abuja on Thursday, March 24. The public was asked not to be deceived by the video but rather be security conscious as it might be a trick to distract the people in order to carry out massive attacks.
