It has been revealed to newsmen by the commander of the multinational force put together to fight the sect, Maj-Gen. Lamidi Adeosun that the insurgents have invented a new means of carrying out bomb blasts. They now strap bombs to birds in order to blow up particular areas.
This attack is similar to that of the ISIS, who use chickens to carry out bomb blasts.
According to Adeosun, ISIS members have already joined Boko Haram, but are not impressed by the sects inability to meet the requirements.
The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has issued an alert on the new tactics devised by the sect to lure unsuspecting youths into their sect. They now have a loan firm which lends money to unsuspecting entrepreneurs to boost their businesses and anyone who does not repay in the specified date is asked to become their member or be killed.
