EFCC reveals photo of politician's aide who offered N10million bribe to EFCC staff

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has disclosed the identity and photo of a politician's aide who offered N10million bribe to an EFCC official.

Former Senior Assistant to the Bayelsa State Governor on media, Abnedgo Don-Evarada was arrested on Monday in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State for giving N10million bribe to an EFCC official.

According to an official statement by the EFCC, " Don-Evarada ran into trouble when he approached Salihu,over a case involving the Senior Special Assistant to the Bayelsa's state governor on Millennium Development Goals, Apere Embelakpo and his wife, Fiene Beauty.

Embelakpo is being investigated for diversion of N800million being funds meant for Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) while his wife is being investigated for alleged money laundering, forgery and suspicious transactions to the tune of N200million.

The bribe offered by Don-Evarada was to compromise the investigation but he was turned down and arrested. He is currently in the custody of the EFCC and will be charged to court when investigations are complete.
