Mother of five dies in a hotel

A married mother of five identified as Joy has been found dead in a room at the Triple F Hotel, Randle Road, Apapa, Lagos.

The woman who hails from Benue State had checked into the hotel on Friday with a male partner. She was later found dead while her lover was nowhere to be found within the hotel's premises.

The case was reported at the Apapa Police Division and the policemen came to remove Joy's corpse and deposited it in a mortuary.

Chinnysblog reported that Joy's remains were found when it was time for her to check out of the hotel and they did not see her.

A resident of Randle Road, who gave his name as Matthew, disclosed that Joy was a food seller who ran a restaurant close to the Police Complex in Apapa and was married to a man from Enugu State.

The hotel workers on duty at that time were invited by the police as investigation to unravel the cause of her death began. The police also launched a manhunt for the partner who had gone to the hotel with her.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident and also said that the Police found marks of torture on the deceased's body.
