Motorist burnt to death after keg of fuel catches fire

A 45-year-old man burnt to death at the C-close, FESTAC town in Lagos State, after the keg of fuel he had just purchased and carried in his car went ablaze.

Efforts were made by the firefighters to save him but all efforts were in vain as the victim burnt to death.

Shakiru, speaking on behalf of the Director of the State Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe said that although investigations were ongoing, the agency suspects that the victim had something in his car which triggered the fire, like a lighter or a cigarette.
