A 37-year-old man, Umar Lawal who lives at No12 Negbo Crescent, Wuse 2,Abuja is facing a count charge of causing grievous hurt.
According to the prosecutor, Salisu Khaleel, the matter was reported at the Maitama Police Station on March 21,by one Janet Augustus.
Khaleel said, the defendant picked up Janet and promised to pay the sum 10,000 after having sex with her, but instead, he beat her up when she requested her fee after they had sex.
"He stabbed her with a bottle in the face and still refused to pay the complaint the agreed sum of money, after having sex with her."Khaleel stated.
The accused, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The judge, Malam Abubakar Sadiq granted the accused bail in the sum of 20,000 and a surety in like form. The case has been adjourned till May 19.
