Missing wife found, now a prostitute

A housewife and mother of two who went missing for over three months was traced to a brothel by a her husband, where she has been a sex worker.

According to a report, she dressed up one evening and left the house saying she was going to buy something at a provision store and since then, she never came back home or made contact with any family member until after three months when her husband caught up with her.

A Civilian JTF man, Kabiru Skido, who helped to track the runaway wife, said he was checking vehicles along Baga market road in Maiduguri when the husband of the woman hurriedly came to him and requested that he should stop a commercial Keke NAPEP which was approaching them.

"I stopped the oncoming Keke when suddenly, the man ran to the Keke and started dragging a woman out. My colleagues and I intervened to know what was happening. He explained that the woman was his wife and that he traced her to a brothel behind the market but rather than follow him home, she jumped into a Keke NAPEP and tried to escape once again. "

A great quarrel issued between the two and both started shouting and speaking in their local Igbo language.

An elderly Igbo businessman called Pa Okoro was called from the market to help settle the quarrel. According to the woman, her husband did not take care of her and never gave her pocket money, that was why she left.

Pa Okoro invited some elders who helped settle the case and the woman returned to her husband's house.
