Man in critical state after setting himself ablaze

An incident which happened in an alley backing onto Rosebury Street, just before 2pm yesterday, left the Police in great doubt. The Police did not treat the case with much suspicion, because they believed the man set himself on fire.

At about 2pm yesterday, police, fire and ambulance services were called to Hartlepool close in Moss Side where a man was on fire.

An eye witness said "He walked across the grass on fire and sat down."

He was given First Aid treatment at the scene and was later taken to a hospital, where he is now in a life threatening condition.

The Police, though with much believe that he had set himself on fire, are making enquiries.

According to Pulse, the 40-year-old man is receiving treatment at Wythenshawe Hospital.
